Core Functionality

Chlorine & Odor Removal: The primary job of GAC is to adsorb chlorine, bad tastes, and organic odors. This makes it essential for pre-filtration in RO plants to protect membranes from chemical damage.

Chemical Adsorption: It effectively targets VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), pesticides, and herbicides that may be present in city or well water.

Design & Specifications

Granular Structure: Unlike carbon blocks, GAC uses loose carbon granules. Thisallows for higher flow rates with less pressure drop, which is why it's preferred for larger commercial systems.

Standard Sizing: These filters come in two main widths: Slim (2.5") for standard commercial units and Big Blue (4.5") for heavy-duty whole-house or industrial use.

Internal Post-Filter: High-quality GAC cartridges include an internal polishing pad or spun-fiber layer at the exit to prevent "carbon fines" (black dust) from traveling into your clean water
